Maleimides

Crosslinkers (PDM/HVA-2, BDM) and monomers (NPMI, CHMI) that give reversion resistance and heat resistance. Also used as co-agents in peroxide cure.

Bismaleimides (PDM, BDM) do two different jobs. In sulfur systems they balance reversion and reduce heat build-up. In peroxide systems they act as co-agents and increase crosslinking efficiency.

Mono-maleimides (NPMI, CHMI and others) are reactive monomers used mostly in polymer modification, for example to increase the heat resistance of ABS and PVC.
