FAQ
Why is TMQ used together with 6PPD?TMQ protects against heat and oxygen ageing but is weak against ozone. 6PPD protects against ozone and flex fatigue. Together they give broad protection; they are mostly found side by side in tire formulations.
Why does the softening point of TMQ matter?TMQ is an oligomer mixture. The softening point and the dimer/trimer content affect both effectiveness and dispersion in the compound.
