Intermediates and auxiliaries used in the synthesis of rubber chemicals (such as HMTA). Some are also used directly as additives.
Intermediates are substances used in the synthesis of rubber chemicals or acting as part of another system. HMTA is a typical example: it is the hardener of novolac resin and a methylene donor in rubber-cord adhesion systems.
