FAQ
Why is ETU being restricted?Because of its reproductive toxicity classification it is on the EU REACH candidate list (SVHC). The search for a chloroprene substitute continues; alternatives such as MTT are used.
Can chloroprene be cured without ETU?Yes. Thioureas such as MTT or DETU/DBTU can be used. Formulation adjustment is usually needed to reach the cure rate and physical property balance of ETU.
