FAQ

How to choose between CBS and TBBS?TBBS gives a slightly longer delay and higher modulus; it is preferred in thick parts cured at high temperature, such as tire treads. CBS is faster and common in general-purpose technical goods. Price and availability are often decisive.
Why does CBS bloom?Accelerator above the solubility limit in the compound migrates to the surface after cooling. It is seen at dosages above 1.5 phr and in low-temperature storage. The solutions are to reduce the dosage or to split the sulfenamide with a thiuram.
