FAQ
Why is TBBS standard in tire tread compounds? It gives a long scorch delay and high modulus. It reduces the scorch risk in thick-section NR/SBR/BR compounds processed at high temperature.
Does TBBS deteriorate in storage?Sulfenamides can hydrolyze over time with moisture and heat and revert to MBT. This shows as a lower melting point and a shorter scorch time. Cool and dry storage is recommended.
