FAQ
Why is TBTD a liquid, and what is the advantage? The long butyl chains lower the melting point below room temperature; TBTD is a dark amber liquid. It disperses easily in the compound, gives no dust, and has a low tendency to bloom.
Is TBTD nitrosamine-safe?No. It can form N-nitrosodibutylamine during vulcanization. The nitrosamine-safe thiuram options are TBzTD and TiBTD.
