FAQ
What is the difference between TETD and TMTD?Both are thiuram disulfides and donate sulfur. The ethyl groups make TETD slightly slower and less volatile than TMTD. Both can form nitrosamines: TMTD forms N-nitrosodimethylamine, TETD forms N-nitrosodiethylamine.
Why is TETD also known as disulfiram? The same molecule is used in the pharmaceutical industry under the name disulfiram. The technical grade used in rubber differs from the pharmaceutical grade in purity and specification.
