FAQ

Why is TBzTD considered nitrosamine-safe?Because it is derived from dibenzylamine, the N-nitrosodibenzylamine that may form is not counted among the carcinogenic nitrosamines. For this reason it is preferred in place of TMTD and TETD, especially in products going to Europe.
Does the dosage change when TBzTD replaces TMTD?Yes. The molecular weight of TBzTD (~545 g/mol) is more than double that of TMTD (~240 g/mol). The dosage is usually increased for an equivalent effect; the exact ratio is set by trials in the formulation.
